Proper net settings [forcing the most optimal]

Post by Luk4ward »

I was talking there with reyalP, but now im wondering whats the optimal net settings, so i can force them in our etpro plugged config...

Atm i got:

command "sv_cvar snaps EQ 20" //coz i got sv_fps 20

command "sv_cvar rate in 10000 25000" // 10000 should be the standard

command "sv_cvar cl_maxpackets in 40 100" //from 40 coz max_fps should be min 40

command "sv_cvar cl_timenudge EQ 0" //coz antilag on

command "sv_cvar com_maxfps GE 40"

main cfg:

pmove_fixed 0
sv_fps 20
b_antiwarp "1"
b_antilag "1"
sv_maxRate "25000"

Why i want to force players with optimal settings? Coz many of them dnt know how to set, got jumpy ping or error like ignoring md5tool / cvar queries which i want to reduce. And i think any other admin who really cares of players.

Regards, any comments would be nice

you should probably allow com_maxfps 0 too. Having a limit set is much better, but some ppl may want 0.

everthing on com_ and cl_

+ bind searches...

cl_packetdup 0
cl_maxpackets 100
com_maxfps 100
snaps 20
cl_timenudge -50 to 0 // fixed with time delay
pmove_fixed 0
pmove_msec ?

all
m_pitch ect

realy every cvar that is in the game that can have any influence should be clamped
