no... he retired because noone wanted to try to live up to his potential, so even for the few weeks after he retired and before he died he was expecting the newspapers to stop carrying it. However Peanuts is a piece of americana and thus the newspapaers have chosen to keep carrying it. Heck a local newspaper had people call in to decide rather to get rid of or keep it. Majority of people choose to keep it... thus it's still here

no, the only reason shultz retired was because we was about to die! and i am almost completle sure it was the family's choice to continue the strip.

his kids could draw his comics too? it would be different. no one could recreate the exact style of peanuts.

calvin and hobbes was the shit - the best part about that comic was that he never aged the entire comic life, its kinda like groundhog day where the whole reason it's funny is because the same stuff keeps happening. calvin was always funny because he never grew up, 10 years later would a 16 year old calvin be as funny? hell hobbes would have been in the closet long before then

zits is funny too, i dont know how many papers its in
online comics i like are megatokyo, penny arcade, mac hall, and (when it was still being written) exploitationnow
