I found setting the timelimit in the cfg file seemed to get overriden like gravity did during the restart of a map.
Is there something one can do to maintain the timelimit?
For g_gravity it was PersistentGravity. For timelimit it is? impossible?
I though a config setting was a config setting, not something to be overriden (or overwritten).
This happens also to the max numbers of clients/players, and it happens on mp_ice_cp (ICE Baby!). Its always 15 min, with a max of 32 players for me?

You can set it so after the map changes, it changes the time. Just add it to your CFG. _________________ Weblion "Th' Politically Inco'reck Tiger" X
If a VCR uses the 24-hour time format, does it still blink 12:00 after a power outage?

seta timelimit 20

in the config file already, it makes no difference. |

Do you have it after every map change (team swap after map ends, etc) or do you have it just once? _________________ Weblion "Th' Politically Inco'reck Tiger" X

I have no map changes! Maybe your saying I need a map rotation file with one entry?
How is that done again? (I have never done that. I saw it somewhere [where?]) |

I was looking through some cvars and I found this: g_usertimelimit
I have not tested this out but maybe that will keep the same timelimit when switching maps. OR just keeping the same timelimit at all times.
[EDIT] Ok yeah this does work! say your on beach and you want the timelimit to be 15 minutes. type seta g_usertimelimit 15 and even when the map restarts it will be 15 minutes and not go back to 8 minutes. Even works when switching maps.[EDIT] |

Thanks for the suggestion.
In a maps like mp_island and old_town only
timelimit
works.
Yet on a map like mp_ice(_cp?) it seems to work with
g_usertimelimit
this is a bad practice of the RTCW developers (I think, maybe map people... I don't know ... very annoying anyway).
So I hope one of these two will help with all possible maps but who knows. It seems inconsistent.
[This must be a result of admins wanting to end a map with timelimit 1 and then have the new map be back to some g_usertimelimit # apon restart of the map.]
