Anti-camping
Bani i read in the swat forums about getting a anti camping measure started(still got to read it all) but i was wondering if there was a way you could let the server admins control how many soldiers that would be alloud to camp. EG 1 person in the wr with a venom is very effective but a person with smarts can take them out relatively easily... however a room full of soldiers with venoms and medics sucks.

maybe you could make it so that if they exceed a certain number of people within a few quakeunits of the docs every person within that "zone" gets their spawn time increased the number of seconds that the number is exceeded. Or maybe they can move slower, or their ammo reload can be slower, or maybe I am just stupid. lol but I do agree with gotenks
This reminds me of this comic:

anti-camp
I like the whole anti-camping concept. The one thing that seems contradictory though is the inability to take back the forward bunker. As axis it is nice to be able to keep the allies on the beach and when you get the chance push them back out on the beach once they breach. Sure, there are a few that will camp on the forward bunker and just be annoying, but at the same time if the idea is to get people from sitting in one spot and make them more mobile, In my opinion, it seems counter-productive to take away the axis's ability to take back the forward bunker. The anti-camping feature does make some people more mobile, but locking the flag makes those of us that already use the whole map less mobile and in a sense compacts the fight. I think this may limit the ability to be unpredictable. (jut my thoughts)
I am a loser that can't handle commitment.

the only reason i brought this up is because we are getting our server up in the next day or two and i heard about it and we were gonna let a few people camp, but not too many... question is this camping penalty for sitting still or being in the same room/area. EG if you are in a crouching position and move around do you avoid the penalty?

Re: anti-camp
thats fine for clan/ladder matches but for pubs, axis have FAR too much advantage to take back the bunker flag. the bunker flag is only a few seconds away from axis spawn, while it is quite a ways from allied spawn.CorpseGrinder wrote:I like the whole anti-camping concept. everyone was wanking about the long axis respawn times, so i made it a tradeoff. if axis wants shorter respawn times, then the tradeoff is flag locking.
i think it's fair.

You left out the good part....what happened next?gotenks wrote:lol i found out about the locked flag on axis complex(which doesn't make sence to lock that flag being it so close to the allied spawn anyway) but i went to capture the flag, hit it twice then the room filled with allies... lol
