Question about Cheats

Post by good will »

I :D want to ask how to play with cheats in wolf single player?

The net says
"Start the game with the command-line parameter "+set sv_cheats 1""
but how to start the game with the command-line parameter?
What is the command-line parameter?
Can Anyone help me?
Besides, as i type in the cheats code there is a description "cheats are not enabled in this server" is it due to the Punkbuster installed?
(It is shown in single player, not the multiple one.)

Cheats?!

I dont recommend using the cheats because it won't help you in the long run. But if you really want to use them you can go here http://www.ultimate-gamer.com/rtcw/rtcwcheats.htm. This is a pretty good explanation of how to activate the cheats. The only exception to the cheats is if you are using winodows xp, you must put 2 spaces between the quotes and the + sign.

If you are running wolf from windows then you need to edit/create a shortcut that adds the +set sv_cheats 1 to the end of the executable. If you already got a shortcut to wolf just check it properties and make the path look something like below.

Example:

c:\program files\returntocasltewolfenstin\wolfsp.exe +set sv_cheats 1

Yours may vary a bit depending on where you installed plus I am not looking at my setup right now so may have mispelled the directory and/or file name but you should be able to figure it out. planetwolfenstein has it detailed quite well.
