another "new map for instagib goldrush" thread

would love to see Kung Fu Grip on the OC32. since i started playing instagib goldrush i cant really get into any other game. ice and depot are great maps for this game but get tired. most of the other maps available i.e. axis complex, assault etc just dont have the same feeling for instagib goldrush. please add KFG.

I personally liked TrenchToast for instagib Goldrush, but the last time TrenchToast was played on instagib was a looooong time ago. That was when I first met Vaden... He and I had a ...personal... battle going on.

Sack, u play Instagib Goldrush (IGR) as pot=good4you? If so hi!

I second the motion to include KungFuGrip for OC32 and for OC16 the lo-grav server.

And Boco, you can get to trenchtoast on both OC32 and 16 by voting: "/callvote map mp_trenchtoast". Especially OC16 has it up frequently at low traffic times, because trench is probably the best map to play IGR with only a few players on.

All maps have a different feeling from each other. Assault is very good for IGR, especially for a change.

Bani, have you considered a map rotation for OC16 and/or OC32? Thanks.

KFG is a fun map... just not for goldrush. In fact, it's terrible for goldrush. You -MUST- be a rocket pilot to cash the gold at most of the flags. There are only 2 flagpoles in the whole map that are accesible by simply walking to them (in front of the doorway in axis spawn, and the chest with the rope hanging out of it in the main room [too much gold can even make you fall to your death at this one]). Too much gold and you simply cannot get to any other flagpoles. Sometimes even being a pilot will not be enough to get to it. I've watched what must have been 50+ gold never get cashed the whole round that way.

schutemie, that's me alright. haven't seen you on the goldrush servers for a few days.

in addition to the two flags you mentioned majikthise, i've taken gold up the cord to the flag on the top bunk. it definetely helps to be a pilot on KFG but i have a helluvalota fun playing it.

how about hydro dam. that map rules in obj, im sure it would tear things up in goldrush if you moved the flagpoles to where the actual obj is on mp mode.

attn all newbies.

for reference only maps that are ctf can be played as goldrush.

ctf= capture the flag

all but 3 or 4 of those maps run on the =swat= goldrush server.

Well, originally, (Before Bani got CTF working) it had to be a CP game because they had the poles built in, but since CTF uses the poles (or two atleast) it's the same thing.
