Bani, could you please disable flag-locking on Oldcrows Banimod Objective? It is very easily exploitable. An example is MP_Beach. People hop the wall and grab the flag. They then all kill themselves and completely bypass the "blow the wall" objective. It is cheap, and it takes the challenge out of the match if you don't need any Engineers at all. Please reconsider disabling flag locking.

if flag locking goes away, then the axis respawn goes back up from the current 20 seconds to the default of 40 seconds. your choice.

I personally wouldn't mind the map defaults of respawn time. The 40 seconds on mp_beach could be a lesson in patience. If you don't wanna wait, then wait for a medic to heal you. But, I have added a poll to this thread, so others can read our discussion and decide for themselves.

Pro Flag-Locking
  • * Prevents cheap players from constantly reclaiming the flag.
    * Bani lowers respawn time.
Con Flag-Locking
  • * Don't need Engineers on some maps with flag-locking on. Can simply bypass objectives to get to the flag.
    * Creates an environment where team-playing becomes critical. Respawn longer so you take less chances.

pro flag locking for the offensive team requires more team work because they actually have to have someone to get in and capture the flag, not entirely easy... especially with the temptation to go get objective and gloryhog it
i'm personally against flag locking, we have no locks but 15 second alies/20 second axis respawn times

when i raised the respawn time, everyone complained. they want the lower respawn time as it makes the games more action oriented. i doubt youll find many supporters for a 40 second axis respawn.

Well i dont like the idea of 40 sec spawn times but it is better than a locked flag. i forget this sometimes and run in to the flag and oh crap! i try to run out but freshly spawned allies pump full clips into me. (stupid me). voted for anti flag locking.
If you dont want some then dont start some!

with locking flag they should take spawn protection off
