okay i cant see. its almost pitch black. i can see outside A LITTLE and peoples name and what they type. i have my brightness from my display properties all the way up, my monitors brightness all the way up and the brightness on that little slider set at 2.00(all the way up) is there anything else i can do? it appears they didnt include vertex lighting

That happened to me a few times, I just re-installed Wolf, That's the easiest way I know of.

two possibilities.
1. your monitor is dieing (happened to one of my 3 monitors)
2. you need to adjust your video cards gamma

2 i think i did number 2 in my display properties i think. is that it?

it's in advanced of the display properties, to get here you go to
advanced tab of settings in display properties
mine has a tab for Intel Graphics Technology
click graphics properties then i go to the color tab of the new section.
