One bug with voting under ETPro

Post by Chairman Kaga »

I'm running ETPro now, which is a godsend :) I do have one bug-like problem, though.

You did apply the fix so a ref can immediately pass/fail a vote, which is great. However, if I'm logged in as ref but only spectating (which I do a lot if I don't feel like playing), I'm still unable to override the vote, that is, the vote keys don't work.

In stock ET, I would see "Cannot vote as spectator". Under ETPro I see nothing, just the current vote tally. I'm hoping there's a way to allow the ref to vote regardless of whether he's playing or not.

I dont thank Bani fixed the Ref vote, yet.
But if you set up your Semiadmin levels, you can do a /sa cancelvote
Or if you have Rcon its /rcon cancelvote

He didn't (I was in a game last night, my vote just went in with all the rest). Perhaps that sentence in the documentation needs commented out for now.

There's still the problem that when spectating, I can't even see what the vote is to know whether I want to pass/cancel it. This is a game bug, IMO -- not even the server log tells you what the vote is. All you get there is the "foo called a vote" message when it starts. Only the (non-spectator) clients get to see what the vote actually is. Once the vote ends, then the server log states what it was, along with pass or fail. Very stupid.

Eh, it's a start, though. I'll just play more often :)
