Server crashed all ~30 hours (!)

Post by newbroker »

Hey ET-Admins,

we have a real problem  Our server crashed all ~30 hours.
We are running a 20 player slot server with 4 private slots.
ET1.02 Prot81 with ETPro 2.05, and many custom maps. (NO BETA MAPS)

Mid game, every ~30 hours the ET process just stop/crash without any
comment in etserver.log or console.log

We have no more ideas to find out why our server crashed. Our present
solutioin is a daemon who checks, if et.x86 is running

We have no, not needed SETS in our server.cfg or something spezial.
Just an own campaign file and some more custom maps. (5 * .pk3)

If someone has an idea, please post it here or send an e-mail to: admins@compkal.net

Thanx a lot....bye Jens

I bet that if you leave your putty console up (if you have shell access) you'll get the et pro error I have posted in the thread below this.

...shit you are right. Looks like the same problem you have. Another BIG ET-Admin gave me the hint to disable the XP saver function
This is a try and error fixing but today i will start a new Server with same config like our dayly business server (without XP saver function) and see what happend. I know that without ETPro our server doesn't crash :!:

But nevertheless, both are not a solutioin for us (disabled XP saver, disabled ETPro) but i hope i could be an important information for BANI (!)

because if it crashes with the error I have/get, it doesnt get logged in my server.log file and it doesnt get logged in the servers log either (the server our game is installed on).

Till now, the server hasn't crashed again without XP saver function :!:
Can it really be the problem ? What tells bani to this, then
