Gender change possible?
Hi,
I wonder if it's possible to change the players gender. E.g. theres is written in game: "... has fallen to HIS death".
I'd like to change it to HER death, as I am female
Is there any chance?
TIA, Jessica

Besides, I read through the forum and I recognized you're doing such reasonable postings all time. Don't you have to say anything useful? Just posting for your posting counter? :p

Back to the topic at hand, I don't think it's possible. I suppose you might be able to change it in one of the client side pk3 files, but then you'll be restricted to unpure servers right?
I'm still suprised that coders don't allow for the recognition of different genders in games, aside from some models/skins in other FPS titles. There are tons of female players anyway, give 'em some options dammit!

Try adding this to your C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\bani\profiles\"Your name"\etconfig.cfg
Not sure if it works for ET, but it worked in RTCW.
Code: Select all
seta sex "female"

{Zer0}'s RTCW server 67.19.67.119:27960
Now Lets Go Kick Some ASS
And thats an Order.

I'm sure RtCW & ET would've had it if in WWII there were female soldiers. Then again they gave us those elite guards so.........yeah.-7- Slappy wrote:Back to the topic at hand, I don't think it's possible. The dvorak keyboard layout is very user-friendly. It's just a bit selective about its friends! http://www.mwbrooks.com/dvorak
is it saying that it's write protected or anything? or just not doing anything
try editing it in the command line... (try it this way) edit your shortcut to et to say
if that doesn't work i'm not sure, i looked through my default.cfg and it had sex listed as male, they may have removed it but i didn't think they did... you can also try editing it in the default.cfg in your profile
