wierd bug with punkbuster

Post by iCe_bLASt »

I'm not sure if this belong here but since I got my new computer I'm having wierd lags in ET and RTCW when playing in servers with PB
every few minuets I get a 3 sec lag that looks like a ui_restart and my fps goes 0
it realy annoying cause I keep getting killed in firefight because of this crap ...
my system:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro
Twinmoss 512mb TMD7608F8E50D
Sapphire Radeon 9100 128MB
Creative SBlive with CThelper disabled (it says in PB site it might cause some problems)
ALE130 usb modem
any idea?

To summarize many posts that might have followed: Try to not use PunkBuster.

If not, you might want to look around EvenBalance's site for information. I assume that there is someone else who has some workarounds, though.
Got any old idtech3 tutorials you made or saved? Send them my way.
