im going to put something better than mines in.

mines are like flamethrowers and panzerfausts, way too spammy.

that should be cool. i also have 1.00 v of your mod and i dont see lights around gold. i do around dynamite. ???

Interesting... As for mines being too spammy, if you only allow one per person (like in Shrub...), and that they have to be engineers, not too many would be planted.
Got any old idtech3 tutorials you made or saved? Send them my way.

i just looked at this quick and something else came to my mind, gold mines

in the map assault........... the center would be a good place........ you would take out the pole in center....... and have the underground tunnel unopenable....... then have it so gold pops out around the tunnel entrance, and possibly when the game has 2:00 mins left it opens and its filled with tons of gold


but the mines you talk about would be good

a team of engineers can pretty much guarantee that mp_tram is totally unplayable. everyone just sets a mine everywhere and then camps out.

it would be pretty annoying on mp_beach too. just set mines all over the halls, then set up tents and camp out.

if you place them right, its impossible to destroy them without getting killed first. on tram it can be impossible to plant near the doors. if you could shoot them it wouldnt be such a problem. but you have to grenade them which means you have to get close enough to them to grenade them, which means you are easy pickings.

Not to mention the fact that you can't keep dumb teammates from running over your mines, or even doing it intentionaly to lower your score. I really don't like mines because they are un-fair, having destroyable dynamite requires tactic and skill, mines don't......

However maybe if you made it so that you could adjust the timer on dynamite to go over 30 seconds that would be cool, i.e. make it so you can set it for 2 minutes so that you could plant it in war room or on the side of the forward bunker and camp out and shoot it when an enemy comes near. Thats not as cheap as mines anyway.

On a side note while im speaking of camping, why is this looked down on as a strategy? If in war soldiers were let loose on there own and told to run around and shoot enemies do you think theyd decide it was cheap to stay in the same place? I mean seriously, thats exactly what id do! Find good cover and shoot the enemy.....however this isn't real war, and because it isn't its much more fun to explore and not have to count on your enemy coming to you to get a kill in, but if you do decide to camp why should you be flamed or called cheap....

camping in wr with dynamite right now is already awfully powerful. 30 sec keeps it balanced.

besides, i thought you were a mauser person. 8)

haha, no way....i was just bored that day and thought itd be funny to run around with a mauser and shoot people in the face....with my ping id be a horrible sniper, im a lieutenant with an mp40 person!

If bani doesn't put in mines, it's seriously missing something.

You don't know how many times a well placed mine can re-route the enemy to an ambush.

Shrub did something right with mines as well as the stats
