Code: Select all
Admins may now choose antilag algorithm used. g_antilag 1 is etpro antilag, g_antilag 2 is etmain antilag
Am I right?

g_antilagg 1 = 3.0.1 etpro antilagg (whit clientside on / off)
g_antilagg 2 = normal etmain antilagg (i dont think client can turn this on / off)
g_antilagg 2 = normal etmain antilagg (i dont think client can turn this on / off)

This is different compared to how I interpreted the definition provided in the download page.=FF=im2weak4u wrote:g_antilagg 1 = 3.0.1 etpro antilagg (whit clientside on / off)

Your explanation sounds good in any case.
BTW, based on bani explanation and based on what I read on web, I understand that antilag is a way to compensate the LAG introduced by the delay in the client/server transmission about the position of players when they shoot.
Now, because bani antilag has been modified in comparison with vanilla ET antilag, I think that a simple switch in the code based on the server variable g_antilag could just modify the way antilag is calculated on the server but can in any case delegate to the client the choice to use it or not via the client variable b_antilag.
This is way I'm still wondering if, with g_antilag = 1 on server, b_antilag on client still have a meaning, or, as you suggested, g_antilag = 1 means pure ET vanilla server side only antilag.
Bani, can you clarify this?
Thanks.

Manually changing the timescale (using \timescale) appears to be broken in demo playback.
If it helps, this is what's in my cfg...

Code: Select all
seta b_demo_autotimescale "0.5"
seta b_demo_autotimescaleweapons "3"

Does this mean we will be able to pick? On 3.0.2 or later releases?bani wrote:client can only turn on/off antilag for themselves, they can't (currently) pick&choose which antilag type they want.
I'm afraid admins pick g_antilag 2 over 1

Appears to be that setting b_demo_autotimescaleweapons to anything other than 0 will cause timescale to be locked to 1, regardless of what b_demo_autotimescale is set to.flip wrote:Manually changing the timescale (using \timescale) appears to be broken in demo playback.

Changing b_demo_autotimescaleweapons to 0, then \timescale 0.3 works....
