Config voting ?

Post by Sphere »

Well I posted this in the Banimod Server admin section by mistake so my apologies for the repetition but I don't have a clear answer yet.

I need to make the .config files votable from the in-game menu. I have seen this option available on servers so I know it can be done - it'sbeen suggested that it requires the client to d/l a pk3 file adjusting the menus which is fine. But I don't know what files, or how to do it.

Any suggestions ?

Quote from the 'example.cfg' that you downloaded along with ETPro:
// vote_allow_config - vote_allow_config is a space delimited list of
// league configurations available for voting and to referees, for example:
// vote_allow_config "leaguea leaguec". A value of "*" means that all
// existing configs may be voted for.
// default: "" (disabled)
set vote_allow_config ""

I mean voting them from the in-game menu, not the console :)

I would look inside the etmain folder first. Look for files that end in .pk3. I would look for small ones. Open them with winzip and see what is inside. You will probably find campaigns inside but you might find one with the file you are looking for. You could then create your own pk3 file or just use that one. If you don't find it, you could look in the other folders.
