This is true, a server that ran 2.60 for weeks now without any problems just crashed for the second time with etpro 3.1.12 without any reason in the logs
Well at my server the crash happened when loading the map radar:

This seems to happen with every command that's using the slot number of the player, and it's also present in 2.60 etmain.

hmm here it is radar that causes it. battery is launched as watchdog on my config.
Our servers now run on 64 bit steroids. Point your ET to:

Well, it isn't called a "beta version" for no reason.

Another, minor, bug: cg_etversion contains the wrong version number:

]\cg_etVersion
"cg_etVersion" is:"ET Pro, ET 2.56" default:""
As this cvar is passed along in the clientinfo, "2.56" gets listed in the server console during client connects.

Just my 2 pennys worth, I've not yet had any problems with the new beta, though I am running the server on Windows rather than the above Linux examples.

Or of course alternatively it could be it has not been up long enough yet or not enough players, or something entirely else, anyway still running...

I'm afraid that I've got some server crashes to report as well. Server running on Linux (well, FreeBSD with Linux compatibility, actually). Crashed after 40 minues on sw_goldrush_te with 2-4 players and again after about 50 minutes on various maps with 6-10 players (last map Battery).

Same crashes like above also happened on our servers. Even after an hour uptime. It happened on 3 of 3 servers.

It always amazes me to see the amount of work the people do for free when developing a mod.

To simply say it is appreciated is the understatement of the century, but that is all I can squeeze out of my pointy little head.

Please run your servers with MALLOC_CHECK_=2:

Also, for those who didn't, please include the full output (the full registers and stack dump are as important as the rest); also any information about free or malloc will be important when it crashes with MALLOC_CHECK_=2

Zinx, I am now running the server with MALLOC_CHECK_ = 2. Question: is this supposed to fix the crashes or to provide more/better debug output when a crash occurs?
