ET 2.60 Patch with etpro status

Post by bani »

ID software has released the ET 2.60 patch.

etpro may "work" on it if you disable etpro anticheat (b_anticheat 0). it will complain in the console about improper versions though.

we plan to release an updated etpro for 2.60 soon.

Am I wrong, or lots of bug fixes have been already fixed in etpro?
I mean this is a patch for etmain. I recognize many bug-fixes that was already in etpro. "Fixed antilag" is one of them, isn't it?

is that just an observation or would there be some reason not to fix them for etmain?

(not really intending that to be as sarcastic as it inevitably sounds)

it means that it is fixed now for the majority of people, not just those who have etpro

Was just wondering if this patch add something to etpro features (in depth for antilag) or if they're all a "just seen" :)

yah, heres some cool fixes/additions I found:

Binds can stay in caps
"configstring > max_configstrings" connect bug was fixed
no more crashing on d/l of new files?
/buynow removed (for all f*kers who think its still cool telling ppl to do this )
can override unsafe cvars (new cvar)
servers can change "full message" and even redirect players to other servers
no more objectives showing up on HUD seconds after it happend (lag)
can record .wav files from ingame sounds
Battery bunker now autoselects spawnpoint when captured.
big news for mac users....a client has been released for you!
10+ Campaigns dont crash
+many other exploits fixed
Although alot of the fixes are already done in etpro, theres still alot of (some unseen) changes/fixes.
