Fathers feature requests

Is possible that you add few new features like this?

4th September 2006:
- setting transparency for muzzle flash
- setting which packs(.pk3 files) are loaded by server and clients
- customizing(only text part in chat) Quick Voice Chat menu by client
- support for 6., 7. and 8. button on mices
- icrease maximum of displayed empty shells, etc.
- support for making screenshots on client screen(like PB) and possibillity set up saving path and support for FTP


5th September 2006:
- function which can define which chars can be displayed when it's usinng ASII ..like b_acii_chars "<every each wanted nr.(from ASCII) of char>"

- autoexec files for seperate weapons(weaponbanks) ..like autoexec_mp40.cfg or autoexec_wb3.cfg

6th September 2006:
- possibility hidding REFEREE status
- listing(like cvarlist or cmdlist) config files(.cfg)

18th September 2006:
- advanced keys binding ..like bind alt+b "toggle cg_drawgun"
- possibility minimize game without external applications

23rd September 2006
- add some funcion for limitation class Soldier with SMG as primary weapon (for newbies)
- if enemy covert op has stolen an uniform and who has this victim of cover op in FT and can see FT image upon this mate he sould see this image upon disguised enemy, i think


29th September:
- "hard" mute for referee, rcon and SA (mute when player cannot be unmuted via vote)
- protect referee and SA players for kick via PB evoked via inactivity


20th December:
- listcampaigns -> enable for clients
- b_stickycharge for TK. Add value which allow - when your teamate kill you - you will spawn with full charge bar.
- is possible allow 'rcon vsay'?
- remote executing commands via console - execing commands via console at clients --> rcon client <PID|nick> <command>
- coloured nicks --> cut out '^' from sum chars in nick
- inccrease maximum of rows in console (if it is possoble)
- custom votes --> make possible voting about every each server command
- add to console something like DOS shell --> possibility using DOS commands in ET install folder on server (for Win)
- make sv_wwwBaseURL2 for backup sv_wwwBaseURL


21st April 2006
- b_vsayvolume similar s_volume, but only for vsay sounds.
- b_showteamicons - it enable or disable showing team sprite above teammate head (similar to FT sprites). It should be client-side and also server-side setable. And when players are in FT and they select somebody - FT sprite should be shown instead of team sprite.

Not likely. Use software to convert them to keystrokes.
- support for drawing real projectil traces
different than g_debugbullets how ?

I mean that you can use default (defaultly binded on V) QVC but displayed messages in QVC menu will be loaded from external file which client could edit and it change the original QVC menu(only text in there).

I have completly custom QVC. It working same like originla QVC but menu for mesages is not displayed. If i want to know numeric combination for messages i must switch to original QVC. Using echo is not good idea.. if i print too much echo - something breaks that after it if i want to print long echo it won't printed completly(only small part).

pak and pure handling is in the engine (as is stuff like mouse button handling). While it is technically possible to make gamecode hack the engine to do something different (and in the past etpro fixed a few bugs that way) the chances of us doing something like this to implement a non-essential feature are very very small.

Thanx for explaing.. :)

I wanted that becouse i thought that forexample - changing skins from autoexec_[map_name].cfg i very good idea for changing skins and sounds.. Rail Gun can now finaly played - Germans vs Russinas and no Americans.. :-) and o snow can be used "snow uniform", etc.

why the hell everyone needs to have everything scripted? why not just pressing another key? that's the point of a game, omg.

Becouse using scripts is more comfortable and it increase. :wink:

Forexmple: you can - bind 3 "exec MP40.cfg" and in MP40.cfg will be: weaponbank 3; cg_drawgun 0 and some other functions or commands. Or you can use autoexec_mp40.cfg --> if will be autoexeces for weapons it not change any feature in scripting.. it will be only simpler and easier. So i think that making scripting simpler and easier is very good way..

it is possible by remap shader thing, in mapscript
you should however ask if they can increase number of those
it is possible, only limit is the config string setting
It might bring some problems though, and ETPro might have all place used already

the script-per-weapon would solve the problems you will have, if youre using weapon scripts, and gets killed.. then u maunally have to press <weaponbank3> sometime before u spawn again. or else your handling will still act as you were using your mortar/panz/pistol-script.
