Regarding the commandmap bug: http://crossfire.nu/?x=journal&mode=item&id=19776
It seems like some players are able to fix it by setting com_crash to 0.

That is because r_texturebits is set to 16 when com_crashed != 0

So by adding this to your autoexec.cfg, all players may be able to see them commandmap thingies:

I'm sorry to barge into this thread so late, but I've been waiting 2 weeks for activation.

I would like to know why the developers decided to make a server patch madatory for the clients. This is causing problems and there are no benefits for the clients.

On my "home server" we have replaced etPro because of this.

Are there any good reasons for the 2.60b demand?

2.60b is both a server and client patch. It fixes a different security problem in each.

I am curious on this particular issue, since XPsave has never been a part of etpro in the past.

Currently I host a baserace only server, running etpro 3.2.6 final, XP is supposed to save accross the 10 map campaign, and then reset, yet it does not do so.

Is this a bug? Or does etpro now support xpsave in some way?

I do not have any etpub cvars in the server.cfg file, etc, I've run etpro only on my server(s) for the last year+ and am a huge advocate of the mod. I've also done my research on it's configurations, etc, so not really a nub at running such a server.

Just found it odd that XP seems to save permanently, as of late.

It might be a map bug, although not sure how to prove that.

Before putting up the baserace only campaign with the latest release of the map, I was running a 10 map campaign with 10 different maps, and XP reset at the end of the camp as it was supposed to, with the latest camp of only one map 10 times in succession, it seems to save permanently.

One other issue I did run into recently was in regards to restarting the map due to player requests, and only admin that were listed on the et-admin shrubbot had their XP left, where players who were not, did not, but that's another issue.

If XP isn't reseting when the campaign ends, that would be a bug. We would need more information, such as your rotation and campaign file to fix it.

One map, run 10x, latest version of baserace, the final map by captain triscuit.

If you need more info, let me know, would be interested in seeind how this works out.

I do know that for now anyone who is in the shrubbot.cfg has their xp saved permanently, and that I can not reset it, even with a server restart from the server's control panel via the host's site....I've tried a few times, I've also done the /exec server.cfg command, etc with rcon pass in place, and similar results......odd glitch, but worth looking into.

Over half of what I love about etpro is that the etnub settings can't be applied, with the xpsave-forever crap, and I would love to get rid of this.

I don't mind xpsave over the 10 maps, as it draws in a crowd, but it can get well past the rediculous stage, as well, and something I always hated about the 'nub versions of the game.

i had a bug in my campaign somewhere and it caused the last map to repeat indefinately and the xp never reset
