uh... how about limiting this to comics from newspapers.


and no way will anyone write comics better than Bill Watterson. Calvin and Hobbes are un-surpassed in their quality. both in looks and in charm.

comics in newspapers usually come from elsewhere... plus everyone's newspaper carries different comix... we don't have calvin and hobbes anymore, just wasn't popular here... i think dilbert replaced it

Bill Watterson said he was tired of all of the comic size reductions and deadline tension and whatnot... this and other things led him to retire.... :(

he was a radical cartoonist, and that caused his comics from reaching many people... but boy, they were sweet comics!

as a matter of fact, I still have a newspaper copy of the last Calvin and Hobbes. I beleive it's dated December 31st, 1995; but i'm not sure. whatever day it was; it was a sunday.

thats different. when Charels Shultz died it was his wish (or his family's?) that the comics be continued. Bill Watterson quit.
