Kenny what you said is true, but if there were no windows, the main stream population would go for macs, and the profit lies where the morons are.

If there were no Windows, there would be something else for the PC and besides, I'd rather go Linux with KDE... oh wait... Mac is like KDE now... huh

i disagree. macs were not set up to network like the original pcs were. they used apple talk. took them 4ever to get a good solid tcp/ip stack. that is why macs suxor on the inet until osx. cause unix loves tcp/ip.

i bet we would have dos or os2 warp.

We wouldn't have been stuck with 16 bit operating systems just because microsoft didn't exist....

WinXP and Linux are already 64-bit OS's. (Or can be gotten as)

actually i believe win xp is a 32 bit os... that's why it has max ram of 2GB... 64bit goes much bigger... but only businesses use it and it requires a 64bit processor... which exists too... but again is expensive

It would be just the thing for our new file server at work. It will have to manage digital video from 800+ digital video recorder channels.
Be seeing you!

Well, get AMD's x86-64 processors. You can use a 64-bit OS and still use 32bit programs until you get caught up. As for intel... Eh, who knows what they're going to do.
