Over at Crossfire, MadScientist has written a great article on stuff that could still be improved / changed in ET. Perhaps it's something the etpro developpers could have a look at?

i'm currently settling into a new job and a new house. the mac mini used for making mac etpro builds is still in storage. i may be able to use a cow orker's mac for an interim build, but that is still at least a couple days off unless one of the other etpro team has a mac they can use instead. g_inactivity isn't a good solution, because if you have it short enough to make sense, it would kick people who are just camping. Not really since g_inactivity only starts counting if the player doesn't touch anything anymore. Usually campers are crouching, leaning, laying med packs and thus active...

Will they only patch the hole or make other improvements? Cause that might break all the mods then... Kinda like from 2.56 to 2.60.

Dunno if it is viable or not but on the ETPub ticketing system a fix / workaround has already been posted.
