I think its related to the ambient light color of the map. And I think that is set in the .bsp So you'd either need mod support, or to remake the map with whatever color you want. Since this is in the mods forum, I'll point out that yes, it would be possible to do if you made a mod, incase thats what your asking.

The only reason I can think of that you'd be running an older version is because you dont want some feature.

Chances are theres a cvar to disable it if this is the reason you havent updated it.

Thats nice squadjot, also perhaps add a marker on the map that is currently in play on the server, so you know that thats one you'll have to download to connect now.
