3.0.1 - ASCII codes only work in "say", not bp/cp/
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but I'm bringing it up anyway. It seems extended ASCII characters only work when using the server-side "say" command. The extended characteres do not get shown when using "bp", "cp" or "qsay". So, say =25=26=27test t...

defragga: You might want to read the PB FAQ and look at the part about the pb_system setting. That might help.

The only thing what I'm not understanding ... when I'm alone on the server, my connection is superb, ping 51, lagometer just green, no hills, but the really small lags are still present, even when I'm alone on the server, and my bandwidth usage is never 100% like when I'm playing 6on6. The usual ne...

Re: The ultimate-end all-final questions about downloads
Some have already been answered, but here we go. 1) What is the maximum download rate (from server) achievable? (i think 25000?) In practical terms, about 20 - 25 kilobytes per second. It depends on the quality of the network connection as packet loss or congestion will decrease the effective rate. ...

Yes, you must be right. I made the logic error of thinking that a stalled server yields the same effect as packet loss. The timestamps in the snapshots make that assumption incorrect, obviously. Well, all this might have a place in the documentation thread, because it's about reading the lagometer. ...

This incorrect, AFAIK. snapshots are from server to client. The bottom line represents snapshots. Hence, the red lines must represent server -> client loss. client -> server loss is not reported at all. Re: scrolling the server console on win32, the difference is that the server didn't send the pac...

Guys, please. Let's not confuse mr. bottlefed1 here! It's really not funny! Bottlefed1, ignore all the posts above. They are all kidding you and some of those instructions will really screw up your ET installation! I'll show you the correct way to enable ET's built-in aimbot. Not many people know th...

... and red indicates that a snapshot was lost entirely (i.e. a snapshot sent by the server never made it to the client, probably due to network problems.) I just noticed that quote. If I'm not mistaken, that's wrong. A red line indicates lost updates from the client to the server , which is then i...

Excellent piece of work. You might want to add a link to the Lagometer explanation on Gameadmins.com , which contains a number of lagometer screens for different error conditions (although the text is not entirely accurate). Perhaps adding some more screenshots to this article will help explain thin...

Also agree. Yes, this would be a quite good idea. I say, it is VERY good idea! When is same etpro-3_0_1.pk3 and I connect on server with bugfix, then on other without, it's downloading, downloading, downloading and downloading AGAIN! omg! Wow. It looks like I started a cult here or something...
