They are they are making RTCW 2!!!!! Too bad have to wait till 2008  Raven and Nerve are making a new Wolfenstein game. That doesn't mean it's going to be anything like RTCW. Some more information might come out at qcon. Correction: 3wave is now working on the MP portion, Nerve is working on E...

cvar limit enforcement isn't platform specific.

I tested on linux, and enforcement of cl_timenudge works for me. It also forces a vid_restart when it is changed out of range.

exec_on_spawn or whatever would probably be a smarter way to do it, since that's when you actually care.

I'd say deliberately bypassing a mute is grounds for a kick/ban. That said, this is something you can enforce in lua if you want, either with your own mod or gotenks etpower.

2.0.7 and 2.55 are unsupported. There are major bugs in these versions, including several that will allow malicious users to take over your server, and possibly the machine it is running on as well. As such, I have no intention of provide ANY support for these versions. I believe cvar restrictions w...

Don't know why you are bumping this old thread :? Same time, I run 3.2.5 with 3.2.6 cheat.log files which allow both clients to connect, and work on other issues from there, to get regulars to patch up. Instead of beating a dead horse into submission, which the etpro guys seem to do, I'm working on ...

A better way to do it would be to kick inactive specs when the server becomes full, so you always have 1 slot available. You can detect this by tracking connects. You'll have to decide how to handle private slots, but otherwise it should be pretty straightforward. ISTR you can poke the fields used t...

lua only sees them after the server has decided to let them in.

I've long wanted an inactivity system that would switch inactive to spec if the server isn't full, and only kick them when it filled up.

Mods can't really do the original suggestion, since the engine handles the server full stuff.

Actually, this is a different one than I thought. It does seem to be reliably reproducible. There were a bunch of other occasional bugs in this area which were quite annoying, and not particularly easy. Hence the laugh. My personal favorite was this one: http://www.collectivecomputing.com/~reed/et/e...

ET:QW is based on D3, not quake 4. Different branches.

In my experience, it's not much like battlefield.

Set "threaded optimization" to off for it in the 3d settings page.
