this lag only appears after map loading

I have the same problem, but only when I just start to play.
The first two minutes after connection are lag-phest, the rest of the campaign(s) goes smoothly...

Complain to evenbalance.

Red spikes means packet loss. PB shouldn't cause packet loss, but if what you describe is correct, it seems to be.

got enough ram?

got hunkmegs set larger than the amount of memory your win can spare? (make free by swapping?)

That could be part of the problem. It could well be that PB is triggering this, but the main problem is low memory. Set com_hunkmegs to 56, or slightly more if you get hunk_alloc errors.

Next time you have the lags, watch the hard disk light, and see if it is flashing when the lags happen. If it is, it means that either you are running out of memory, or there is some backround task firing up.

Setting your detail and sound quality low can save some memory.

Make sure to close any programs you don't need before you play.
