referee password problems

good morning men

i've recently set up the 24players public server for my clan,
using the newest etpro.
the only problem i have is that the referee password is not working,
i run the server with "etded +fs_game etpro +exec server.cfg", debian linux.
the server.cfg is a combination of the normal et serversettings and the normal etpro serversettings.

i also tried to change the refereepw and restarted the server but that didnt fix the problem.

when i enter refereepassword xxxx in the console and then try ref command, it tells me that i'm using the wrong password.

In the console do:

/ref "refpassword" in order to make yourself the referee

yes, sorry for that dumb question, first i wanted to do /referee "password",
the same as in quake3, but when i typed "ref" and pressed TAB, "refereePassword" popped up so i thought they've changed it
