the only problem with that is elitism. for example, ET is my main hobby. i spend way more time involved in this game than i should. yet i only play at the TWL Beta level. i've only played one season of competition. this isn't because i'm not a serious player - i certainly am. it's more because i haven't been around very long, and am not yet at or near the top skill level. many would say my opinion doesn't matter because i am not a 5 season Alpha veteran, yet the changes made to ET effect me greatly, and i care very much what direction this game goes. so whom do you listen to for ideas? as far as the NA community, i think the reality is clear: alpha/invite teams would dictate the "NA opinion", with perhaps the top beta/open team allowed to speak for the "unwashed masses".

i dunno how elitist the EU community or others are, but i suspect a similar scenario elsewhere.

found a BIG bug (possibly only for pubs)...
I was playing on campaign, left after 1 map... didn't have that much xp or stars (level 1-2 max), came back after the map i left on and i had 1030 xp, 4 stars in battle sence and light weapons... almost 3 stars in engineering, 2 in heavy weapons and 1030 xp... i had played earlier (different campaign) but this was several hours ago... but the stars and xp was similar to the previous campaign.
So either:
I got someone else's XP
or
I got my XP from previous campaign

you had more xp the 2nd time than you did the first? Thats very odd, don't think i've ever seen that...or maybe noticed

They same happened to me once, i came on a server after i haven't played for some days and started with like 800 xp...
I don't know how to reproduce that since it only happened once and i din't think about it much.

How do you re-identify a player who left the server before? by etkey?
Is it possible that two different people have the same etkey?

I was playing on X3Mservers.net - Estonia ET 2.60 ETPRO 3.1.14 (82.192.80.138:27910) and after I got some XP (66 XP to be precise) I left. When I got back I had 66 XP. After I joined a team and stood still for a minute, I reconnected. After I got back my XP was gone.

Haven't ran into the XP increase bug tough.

i'll try again... but not sure how it happened in the first place... got a few things i can check but problem is i gotta go through multiple campaigns
