What are you talking about!!!!!! P4 Is obviously the greatest PC you can get.... For instance take my Computer....
P4 3.2GGH w/ Hyper Threading 875FSB
1GIG DDR
ATI Radeo 9800 256 (BTW ATI MARAUDERS GeForce with performance and quality)
Granite Bay motherboard...And guess waht Water cooling system...when I turn it to max cooling it goes easily over 3.4 range

and it cost me only $1500

Try getting an AMD with the same stuff inside...OR try and get the same comp at Alienware...alienwares will charge you aWELL over 6000 dollar range without the cooling system...

we all have our own machines to comply with what we need or want to use. like i said before i own a pc and a mac, i dont want to deprive anyone from anything(thats what pedophile christian preachers try to do to horny nuns)anyway, i like the alienware area 51, but i like anthlon xp better, but thats just my personal preference.
wolfenskater buy whatever you want just make sure you get all your warranty shit taken care of, you dont want to end up with a piece of sh!t, or have it break down on you, then you end up wasting your money and sitting there like a duck with a broke ass comp.

hey, by all means bro, explore all you want. heh, the last comp i bought i took several months to decide, went through lots of different issues and money problems until finally i got i wanted almost like getting a tattoo.

Damn, this is almost bad as a religion argument... I will try to bring a consensus to it all. All CPUs have their good sides or they wouldn't still be around. From what I have noticed:
Intel=everday windows apps and internet browsing crap
AMD=games and PC multimedia apps
G5=multimedia apps and video

I may be forgetting something but for the most part that is what each processor is good for. The rest comes down to the MoBo, ram, sound card, and graphics card. If you want to be really picky you can start comparing input devices and monitors.
