Feature Request:Multiple pk3 error notice

Post by gotenks »

I found out i can update the version of etpro by uploading files on the server company i use (for enemy-territory.com's server) and i tried updating to 3.0.7, but because of the interface the company uses i can't delete the etpro_3_0_1.pk3 file from the server so upgrading made it give the multiple pk3's error, is there anyway to make it not announce this?

Hmm, weird idea that I haven't tested.

Could you overwrite the 3_0_1 pk3 with an empty one? Would that have an effect...

Can u re-name it to etpro_3_0_7.pk3 then overwrite it with the new 1 or just re-name it to "joebloggs".pk3 or something?

king... zinx and i talked about that one... gonna test it today
fubar, i don't have access to the 3.0.1's pk3 or i'd just delete it... so hopefully the overwrite will work... if not this company let's me create as many servers as i want i can only use 1 at a time, so i just created an older server running 3.0.1 non bugfix again for now... :(

Any way to disable this message from being showed? It's annoying if you want to setup a server on your local computer :)

How about a cvar to enable automatic removal of obsolete PK3s?

not removal, but maybe have it specify which pk3 to read? (for the etpro's pk3)

How about cvar:
0: send report (current state)
1: ignore reports and use latest
2: remove obsolete
