Etpro + new nvidia drivers = +3-6 FPS
Hi i just wanted to let yall know that the new 67.22 drivers from nvidia gave me a significant boost in fps.
System p4 2.8@3.1
6800
512 mb
At res 1024 it gave me 3-6 more frames per second depending on the spot.
Frame drops are better too.
Just feels more stable.
And image quality is same if not better then before.
I used 67.03 71.20 and almost all others before these and loving every minute of playing now.
Hope anyone finds this info helpfull.

ya. monitor/fps/mouse frequency being = or divisibles is best. too bad i can't do it with my gear my monitor won't do 125 hz at any res.
if i could do it, i'd run at 125 fps, 125 hz monitor, and 250 or 500 for the mouse.

ATi as well!
FYI -- ATi's new Cat 4.12 drivers gave me a nice performance boost as well. I use the softmodded variety on my 9500 (turned 9700 pro).
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Depends what FPS you're adding it too. If you're getting 40's then it's pretty significant, if you're getting 125 and up it isn't. Not everyone has the latest, greatest video cards. To get another 6 frames just from driver refinements isn't to be baulked at imo.
Some people play tennis, I erode the human soul.
well
More fps = less noticable dips. And even the fastes pc dips when you play on a 32 people server with 6 field ops tossing fire support around. And yeah i know that fps > refresh is useless but these values were on an empty server;) My playtime fps is capped at 100 with vsync enabled anyway.
but with this fixedphysics stuff its even harder to jump into the dump. (Maybe the settings are wrong; Feel free to tell me the right values)gotenks wrote:you should never use pmove_fixed 1, it's buggy as all get out in etpro, b_fixedphysics iirc replaced it
only thing that is borked with pmove_fixed 1 is the sniper AFAIK
