hello out here,
I have a annoying problem and don't know how to fix it.
When i am for example allied medic and take a syringe to revive somebody, and walk to the wounded person.
so far so good, but when I walk over a thompson I automaticly take the thompson in my hand.
I had this since a couple of days but I thought iI didn't change anything.
Does anybody now how to fix this?
First I thought it was autoswitch, but that's makes no different.

auto switch is whne u ran our of ammo it switch to the next weapon
as for our bug i think its a clein cvar but i no idea do u keep +active pressed (enter)

try setting cg_autoswitch to 0
when its 1 it shows this behaviour.

what he said, is that he thought its cg_autoswitch.
its not.
i think its cg_autoactivate too

Could it be a combination of both toggled to 1?

well it could also be a problem it goes to thompson.. because it shouldnt :)

yes it's autoactivate, i set it to 0 and it's good now.

u also need to notice it effects more things other than picking up thompsons.

cg_autoactivate = auto-pick up things from the floor
cg_autoswitch = auto-switch on picked up weapons

my friend made a map i got totally owned on because i had cg_autoactivate to 0.

i was wrong that it was autoactivate, i tested it in a server and i didn't switch to thompson when i walked over it, but.....
I go to a pub and play medic. I ran out of ammo and ask for ammo..
but i couldn't pick up the ammocrate
so autoactivate 1
autoswitch 0
