ETpro for Macintosh ET 2.60
Hi,
I am a mac user who just rolled into the whole ET thing,
and I was wondering if there is any development on a mac
version of ETpro. At the moment, the guys at TC:Elite are
working on a mac version of their mod, and I would really
like to see this for ETpro too.
Yours sincerely,
Wolf

as uber_noob said, cgame and ui are native executables (bundles, in the case of mac, dll and so for win and linux).gotenks wrote:afaik, their server side binaries... they are just included in the pk3
While etpro certainly could be built for the mac, it does require some effort. The game code is pretty much platform independent, but you still have to build and test. Platform specific bugs are possible (For example, in 2.6 etmain, there was some fairly nasty stuff caused by the differences in floating point handling). This is also made more difficult by the fact that mac isn't especially friendly to remote development. AFAIK, no one on the etpro team has a local access to a mac capable of running ET.
