As a result: cannot spawn at fueldump garage when command post built (as allies). It just acts as a regular command post.
In previous versions of etpro we played (3.1.0 I think) I could spawn at the garage after CP was built and there even was a flag to indicate that. What's wrong?
Note: map scripts are default and didn't mess with them. Tried to replace fueldump.script with ones that worked (though based on what I saw inside default script it should work with default script). Nothing helped.
It's like this: I use HOST game from game menu, select map (Fueldump) and create non-dedicated server for my friends in LAN that can join on my server and I can play on it too (because it's not dedicated). I did it before with 2.55 Enemy Territory and 3.1.0 etpro. Back then I remember that I copied some fueldump.script somewhere in ET folder and it worked without a flaw. That script was downloaded somewhere, maybe even from this site, dunno.
Soo... I'm hosting from in-game menu, not dedicated server and I'm playing on same computer (since it isn't dedicated server). It should work by default, that I also know, but it doesn't.
for non-dedicated servers (really bad idea) you should beable to /rcon set b_mapscriptdirectory etpromapscripts, then restart the map and you'll be good
I have many .pk3 files in etpro folder and etmain too. When i want run non-dedicated server there was same problem. In warmup was garage spawn available, but when map was started - it wrote "BIG info length exceeded" (in console) and additional etpromapscript script was no longer used. I think, removing unwanted .pk3 files (downloaded from other servers) should solve this problem.
I did that in the first place 'cause this is the starting (and ONLY ) place for every etpro version.
Please, try for yourself to host a game with fueldump map and just escort a tank to break tunnel grates and go through tunnels and construct allied command post in garage and see if spawning there works.
Please! I would like to know is this possible or what???
For a quick LAN practice 5v5 I like to host game within game itself, not through dedicated server (which is best for online play and competition play).
I DON'T WANT DEDICATED SERVER FOR LAN PRACTICE!
Since no one can help me, I have to figure this one myself. I did it once with old ET and old ETPRO, so I'll do it again.
Thanks anyway!
You can close this topic, as far as I'm concerned.

No need to shout, just because you have no more arguments why you do not want this, since it is the only and best way.
old ET && old ETPro != new ET && new ETPro
either you do it the "dedicated" way or you die trying.
If you searched this forum already you should have learned that using hostgame from menu sux big time.
It is mentioned in many threads that it should not be used.
