i think you want to know this stuff
Use vsay for a global message - it will show up in cyan to everyone. Example. bind x "vsay onmyway"
Use vsay_team for a team message - it will show up in green to everyone on your team. Example. bind x "vsay_team onmyway"
Use vsay_buddy [class number][number of players][list of players' fireteam IDs] [vsay string] - sends a voice chat to the entire team - it will show up in yellow to the recipients. Example. bind x "vsay_buddy -1 0 needbackup"
For binds just use 0 for num_players, and omit the player list
Classnumber should be -1 for any class, and 0-4 for the classes in their usual order.
So, if I wanted to bind a key to say "need back up" to the entire team, it would look like: bind x "vsay_buddy -1 0 needbackup"

Re: CAN I GET SOME HELP PLEASE
I'm trying to decypher what you're saying here... I'm guessing you want a bind that will say "bye", and will show a text that says "bye" in different colors.~h4x0r wrote:yo what would i or how would i bind a vsay as to what i want to say, i know the /vsay hi or whatever ( Example : v 5 5 = Bye i want that to say v 5 5 = Bye ) anyone know how to do that? or what would i type in the consol. Try this:
bind x "vsay 1 bye ^0b^7y^0e".
Of course that'll only work for allies, for axis "vsay 1 bye" will still say "auf wiedersehen".
Maybe if you put the above bind in "autoexec_allies.cfg" file, and another one for the axis team in "autoexec_axis.cfg"...
Like this:
bind x "vsay 3 bye ^0a^7uf ^0w^7iedersehen"
EDIT: Need to clarify some things, just in case.
The above binds will of course only work on etpro 3.0.1+ servers.
And it doesn't change the way the voicemenu works, you'll have to use custom binds if you want colored texts.
thanks for all of those things and putting time and stuff in here , what im saying is that when i press "v" it opens that little thing to talk to team/global/etc., but instead of the defalut tsaying, can i make it to where when i press "v" then what i want to say, is it possible to make the colors different? i know its kind of/totally confusing. sorry
