how about cvars like
b_oldthompson
b_oldmp40
simply to change to the oldschool rtcw sounds for the weapons
i remember hearing of soundpacks created for ET to change the sounds, but to implement this feature into ETPro would be cool and hopefully very simple to do?
basically a-la cg_oldrail etc in Q3
however there might be some distance sounds for enemies shooting either type of gun?
p.s. keep up the great work, etpro 3 is excellent
Feature Request: b_old* - ala Q3, simple but cool

Agreed. Bani got permission to use the gibs, knife sheep sound, "prepare to fight", etc. but I don't believe id/Activison/not-sure-exactly-who will give him weapon sounds...Spark2 wrote:I'm pretty sure that's illegal.
Again, as mentioned, it would make the client download bigger, which is not cool, BUT, as I suggested before (and don't remember if there was any feedback), there could be some kind of digital signature on the sound packs for etpro (generated by bani/etpro team after approval, like they do (didn't see any yet, though) for league configs) which allows them to be used in competition... This would most likely be a pain in the ass to take care of, but a single rtcw soundpack and maybe a reality/"saving private ryan"-style soundpack would be more than enough.
