Hi !

When I play on a server where g_antilag is 1, I can t desactivate the client antilag prediction because I can't set my b_antilag to 0

console "screenshot" :

\b_antilag 0
etpro: b_antilag CVAR_EQ violation - [0] shoud be EQ [1]
etpro: Saved old cvars to cvar_backup180.cfg
\b_antilag
"b_antilag" is :"1" defaut is "1"

So I can NOT desactivate antilag on my computer. :?

Any help/ idea ??

Thanks !! :D

Umm, no - no it's not. Works just fine on my servers.

Are these "all the server" that you've tried all set up by one person ( all from 1 ISP or server group )? Are they all running the same league .config when you're trying this?

...because I can assure you, ETPro itself doesn't enforce this - it's a server admin setting.

Actually, official Clanbase & Rtcw.no settings forces b_antilag EQ 1...
So, apo, if you're from europe, you most likely played on a server with official settings.

May I ask WHY is it forced to 1 ? I don't see how it can affect gameplay...

Not that I would like it set to 0, but just wondering...

Obviously it's a "hangover" from the g_antilag days (omg we have to enforce antilag), and is of course completely obsolete, and probably wont be there in future versions. But maybe its time to force g_antilag 1 (as in not 2) for servers again :)
Who would wanna play without antilag anyway? ;)

I tried b_antilag 0 on telenet server ( belgium) and it works.

But that' s for sure that it do NOT work on all servers. I don't know why...

Thx for answers btw :)

heh, http://www.clanbase.com/rules.php?lid=1365#server [edit: actually thats wrong anyway, can find new at http://www.rtcw.no/demos/%5Cfiles%5Cet% ... fig-v2.zip , which is better but still has silly things like picmip??]

from experience, I'd suggest not bothering trying to suggest improvements, they wont be appreciated, and I'm certain they know of several anyway, they dont seem to want to sort it.

Of course you have to wonder why they had gone to the effort of adding r_lightmap in 0 1 (only recently "fixed").

Especially since r_lightmap is cheat protected, and 1 is a cheat (removes all textures, gives you a shaded white background). hint: this is NOT vertex vs. lightmap mode.
