question for rain
rain, i remember a couple months ago i was browsing your domain, themuffin.net (btw i love open directories, its like a box of chocolates ), and i remember seeing something that i assumed, after just a quick glance, was a program you wrote to reset your gamma after ET crashes. am i insane or is my memory correct? anyway, i am so fucking sick of that happening. whenever et crashes (which is often), my gamma in windows (xp pro) is fucked (too bright), and only a reboot will reset it. i hate rebooting and rarely do, except because of ET.
anyway if it was u who made that program i'd sure like to have it. i didnt want to explore ur whole site again, in case i didnt see it there.

ydnar's quickgamma sits in the system tray.
my fix-gamma is one-shot (fixes the gamma and exits.) (source)
from there, it's pretty much personal preference... fix-gamma doesn't let you choose the gamma level (resets to 1.0), but that wouldn't be hard to add.
