I. INSTALLATION

First you need a full retain version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. To install the mod on either win32 or linux, just unzip the mod's zip file into your wolf directory making sure to retain the directory names. You should have a directory called "ikkyo" along side "main", "pb", and any other mod folders if this is successful.



II. FEATURES

-Neil Toronto's "unlagged" lag compensation code. All non-scoped bullet weapons benefit from this: venom, pistols, machineguns. This means you no longer have to lead your targets to compensate for lag. You point at something, pull the trigger, and you hit it. High ping clients should now be much more playable. NOTE: scoped weapon modes (zoomed mauser) are NOT lag compensated yet.
-the garand snooper from sp, nightvision scope included
-the fg42 paratrooper rifle from sp (w/ some modifications)
-a scopeless light mauser, fires faster than the heavier version, is accurate without zooming, but does less damage
-The Ithaca M37, a 12 gauge shotgun with 4 shots
-A grenade launcher with 2 fire modes. Primary is an impact grenade, secondary is timed.
-"+attack2" is now bindable in the controls menu for grenade secondary fire. Use this new command for both grenades and sniper rifles.
-luger has an optional silencer
-silenced luger headshots do 80 damage
-allies now have to option of using akimbo colt 1911's
-a new cvar (g_corpseTime) that controls the time corspes will stay around
-an all new class, the SCOUT. Faster but with lower health
-Scouts can place decoys to fool the enemy
-panzerfaust and grenades will leave smoking gibs
-all entities are affected by a change in gravity (grenades, shell-casings, etc)
-lt's can give pistol ammo
-a special cvar for controlling accuracy while air-born (g_airAccuracy), allowing for low grav gameplay
-new team deathmatch game type
-pistols fire underwater
-dynamite is now shootable (shot dynamite won't trigger objectives)
-people on your team other than you can no longer disarm your dynamite, unless friendly-fire is on
-g_gravity, g_knockback, g_speed, and g_airAccuracy are now voteable
-g_gravity, g_knockback, g_airAccuracy, g_speed, and g_corpseTime remain set until changed
-sten damage increased to 16
-a rotating message banner for important messages
-blocks invalid voice chats
-instagib game mode
-player scaling with g_playerscale. This scales both the speed and size of players.
-server notifies players if the teams are unbalanced
-player handicapping. Players can type "handicap X" into the console, where X is their desired damage handicap in percentage points.
-fixed sniper rifle muzzle-kick exploit
-g_emptyscript script is executed when the last player leaves the server (eg to reset server to "default" settings, restart map cycle from the beginning, etc.)
-g_allowvote now has different levels. 0 = no voting, 1 = standard voting, 2 = extended voting with the new votable cvars (g_gravity, g_knockback, etc).
-airstikes and artillery are now more random
-"normalize" vote will reset all values to game defaults
-special head size mode that causes players with better kill death rations have larger heads and other players to have smaller heads (g_headSizer)




III. FINDING A SERVER

Start-up Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Click Option->Mods->Ikkyo's Wolfenstein Mod to active the mod. Make sure your controls ok before joining a server. Ensure something is bound to Secondary attack if you wish to use the alt fire for the new grenade launcher. After you're done, go to the server broswer. In the ingame server browser, click on the "Filter" button until it reads "Ikkyo". Then update your server list by clicking on "Get New list". It should show you only the servers that have ikkyomod installed if you've done this correctly. Double click on the server of choice and enjoy.
