landmines

ET-style landmines in banimod, testing on oldcrows objective server 66.118.69.158:28002

they should be virtually identical to the behaviour of ET mines except that the spy spotting mines function isnt finished yet.

engineers drop mines with the /mine command.

give them a try and find the bugs.

I tried this in there, but it was empty.

Can the other team see these mines?

They are cool. I just want to know how you determine where it is okay to lay mines.

They're okay. But they don't look like mines. Aren't they round?

And it's kind of hard to arm and defuse them. You need to be like, RIGHT on top of it.


And the lighting around the mines is a little off.

Is there a 10 mine limit like ET?

Landmines could be fun. Get the whole Axis team to be Engineers and mine the crap outta the door and wall on the mp_beach level. It would be very fun to try, but trying to get people on a public server to actually DO something is like trying to drop a live-toaster or something in your bath and not getting electrocuted.

I was in Beach and did this.

There is apparently no limit to mines, but it takes a whole bar to do one.

I places mines all near the wall, and all in the trenches.

They called me a cheater.. It hurt... I got sad...

And then laughed as they blew up again, and flew across the map calling for a medic.

actually it's called memory... you jus have to remember and do a search for those quotes... i was tempted to do the same... lol
any way about the mines
apparantly enemy engineers can see the ones you planted

I couldn't.

But then again, It was on the dark part of the beach.

But, it wouldn't matter.


Because your team mates will get pissed that you aren't moving, and shoot you, knocking you out from over the mine, blowing you both up.

It would be nice to lay them just slightly quicker. i.e. have it take 2/3rds of the bar instead of the whole thing.

in ET it only takes 1/2 the bar, me thinks it should here too...
